Default editing

I use Aperture and actually just cropped (without constraining) and then used the preset "Toy Camera" when applies the settings (edge sharpen, vignette & polarize).

1. Boosted the Contrast
2. Boosted the Saturation
I know that didn't make much of a difference, but I didn't think it looked good with any special edits...

OMG a cat

after I dropped in the image of the cat, I erased around the head to expose the background. I smudged the harsh edges and used the rubber stamp to fill in some missing neck. I should have redrawn the whiskers but it was getting late. I then saturated the yellow in the eyes. Darkened the hole under the cat then flattened the image applying just a bit of Find Edges.

QWERTY

I lost track of what I did!!!! Done on a combination of Gimp and PS elements

selected the main subject, changed the colour
selcted the "hole" and appled a gradient and in a new layer made some fire
selected the background and added noise.
selected the front part of the image and applied the mosaic filter
Drew in some lines(?)
new layer added the text, in an arc and warped
I think thats about it, but I may have missed a bit!!!!

Douglas, Did you delete this photo from your Flickr page???

At any rate, I had downloaded it a day or two ago. Found a coupl eof images that I wanted to place on the original. Used the original opening as a base line for the cave.
Pasted the cave man in and erased areas that I didnt want to show. Added a drop shadow for somewhat of a 3=d effect.
Did pretty much the same thing with the new background and the spider. Several minor touch ups with the clone tool. Ran thru noise reduction to get rid of some of the pixelation and then used topaz adjust to add some clarity in
