could not think of anything else so i made a new layer and selected the bottom half with rectangular tool and with the eyedropper tool copied the color of the top most portion of the water for foreground and the lightest part as background and used the gradient to have a gradient imitating the water. used layer mask with small soft brush erased the right portion of the gradient and and followed the contour of the waterline on the upper portion and the left.
selected the upper portion with rectangular tool, put it in a layer above the water gradient layer and with transform, flipped vertical. with layer mask mask and big soft brush, opacity at 20% erased the lower portion to reveal the water gradient slightly. also erased the part to show the contour of the waterline. adjusted with levels, reduced opacity a bit. brushed some faint white lines to simulate ripples.

I tried all kinds of different looks and dint like any of them. Not fond of this one either but here it is.
Cropped image. The girls and fairies are tubes that I pasted in and then used 3 different layers of them using different blend modes and opacity levels till I found a happy medium.
Next I merged all the layers, then duplicated 2 more times. The middle layer blend mode was set to screen. The top layer had a Gaussian blur effect added to at at about level 15 and then changed the blend mode to multiply. Merged all layers.
Duplicated again and again using a tube I added the flares around the bathing beauties and then added a vignette. One more texture layer added with a blend mode of overlay and then played with the opacity till I came up with this:

Default WWYD #151: Oil on canvas

The minute I saw the picture, I thought of making it into a painting.

1. The painting is done using FotoSketcher v 1.9 (Option: Watercolor)
2. Transferred the image to Photoshop CS2 for the frame, a bit of drop shadow and the signature! (No claims to the original image )
