Default What Would You Do #141

Here's a fun on from Marija. Thanks so much for sending this!
Tokyo Disneyland

Rules are simple. Edit this image in anyway that you see fit, all you have to do is post the steps you took to achieve your final product. Its a neat way to see what other people have done and learn from thier steps and to also improve your own processing skills.

If you have an image to submit, please pm me a medium sized image (if you have it in code all ready thats great) and a link to a larger version

What Would You Do #141b

Since my last trip to Disneyland was in the 70's, I decided to go for a vintage effect.

In Paint Shop Pro:
  • Duplicated the original image and applied the Time Machine - Cross Process photo effect.
  • Duplicated the original again, converted to black & white with a blue filter, and set blend mode to Luminance.
  • Duplicated the luminance layer and applied heavy sharpening.
  • Duplicated the luminance layer again and added Gaussian Noise.
  • Adjusted the opacities of the three luminance layers until I was happy with the amount of sharpening and noise.
  • Duplicated the original again and set blend mode to Color with a low opacity to tone the cross process effect down a little.
  • Cropped the image.
  • Added a slight vignette.

Default WWYD: Smile

I shuttled this image between 3 programs:
In Lightroom: used a preset to get the Lomo effect

In Picasa: Gave it a slight glow

In Photoshop CS2:
Applied the noise filter on a duplicated layer and cleared off parts from the face and hands.
Added the motivational poster frame and caption

Just an observation
1. The previous WWYD was also numbered 141
2. There seem to be so few following on the WWYD thread these days ...

Better late than never...........
First thing I did was as always duplicate the layer and then used Corel's scratch remover to reove the pole. Then I cloned areas that still needed help. (mind I wasn't too precise on this) Next I cropped the image down. Then used 2 more layers using adjustments with Topaz Adjust

increased the canvas size to the left and used the clone tool to add the leaves on the vacant space created by extending the canvas size. extended the area in front of the lever by pressing ctrl and alt to select and move it to the left. dragged the image of the coffee maker to the image and using free transform adjusted size and positioned it on the exrended area in front of the lever, then with the oval selecting marquee, made an oval selection and filled it with brown color. with soft dodge tool, i brushed the brown oval to create the shine and with 10% opacity, i brushed with black the reflection of the pole on the oval table top. added a leg on the left,
