Default The Innit Marvellous Challenge.

You were hoping for a great shot with and just one chance to get it, or you saw something cool and tried to get it before it was gone.

It's out of focus, there's grass in the way, shutter speed's too slow and the subject is in the only shadow around.
Innit Marvellous !

Anyone else up for sharing a pic that made them say 'Bugger'?

Default Vanity is strong . . .

Dodge, who really wants people to know about all those failed attempts? Maybe a teacher, a realist, or anyone who's ever spent months with a camera which cannot seem to understand what you want it to do!

That's what happened Winter of '07, with this, one of my first few Flickr uploads for DPS. My Fuji was a new unknown in my hands, and the forum had fewer than 900 members. Point and shoot camera, point-and-pray photography:

Wind

Oh, yeah . . . Bugger!

Haha, so true, It's always a nice way to reassure others that they aren't alone though . I'm sure the Pro's have plenty of 'Oh, Bugger!" pics too.............Hmmm, where's Jim when you need him

i have this one photo of a road runner with a frog or toad in its mouth that i took at my grampa-in-laws ranch here in Texas. i tried to take several but this turned out to the best out of all of 'em (because he was running and i was running and the pictures just came out so very not good) and this was as close as it would let me get with my zoom at 200mm. plus i cropped it a little. its not very sharp or detailed.

Here's one of mine. It looked good when I took it, but when I downloaded, I discover the branch was out of focus.

If you look right beside my daughters head there is a drilling rig out there, it was so visible to the eye, but it just didn't photograph well.

Great stuff guys, and Kudos for sharing the ones that got away. It's always nice to know you aren't the only one, especially as all we usually get to see are everyones best pics and not the 'oh bugger' pics.

I think if you're doing it for fun, there's something intrinsically funny when you start feeling a bit pretentious and think you have a great shot then come back to earth with a resounding bump and it comes out pants. Even funnier when someone else does it and can laugh at themselves.

Really? I love this shot! Winter storms can be very exciting - when viewed from the window of a warm cozy house.
