Needed something to pep me up, hence this is what I made of the picture

Process:
In Photoshop CS2,
1. Cropped out the frame from the original picture
2. Added a gradient map for a darker desaturation
3. Added a black background and blue border to the image
4. Added text

Cropped to alter frame
Duplicate layer - blur to overlay - dodging and burning with global curves correction, fade what was done
Sharpen primary layer - fade what was done
Adjust shadow highlights of everything - decreasing the overall level of brightness
Adjust color of shadows to blue - highlights to yellow, fade until incredibly subtle
Merge layers
Curves edit to increase contrast without breaking tonality

Just for fun!

1. I cropped it in,
2. Turned up the sharpness,
3. Tinted it blue
4. Put in the moon
5. Put on the frame

You should start doing these WWYD's again. It's good practice for editing photos, and pretty fun!

In Picnik i added the effects Boost and HDR-ish then added 3 firework stickers.
