Wow, sorry it's so late this week guys. I'm a bit out of my normal time zone and I didn't realize what day it was.
So, this week's picture is a self-portrait by Waffles ![]() Available Larger The rules are simple. Take the photo, edit it, then come back and show us and tell us what you did to get to the end result. If you want your picture to be used for one of these WWYD threads, send me a PM with a link to the medium and larger version of the photo and it will be used in the order I receive it Now, let's see what you would do!

WEll my first thought was to darken the background and then i wanted to dulicate just hime and put him in a bubble like he was thinking outside his head. As you can see below that idea didnt work so well. that or its 3 a.m and i'm too tires to think very well.
so what i did was take the selective tool and set it to edge seeker and 0% feather and trace around him. copy and pasted onto new image. Oh and I did lighten him up little first by going to brightness/contrast and lightened him up by 20%. Then on the new image i again used the selective tool and traced around the rock and part of the girl and copied. Went back to the layer with his picture on it and selected the pick tool and moved him where i wanted thought would look good. Then I pasted the rock and girl as a new layer and placed it over him and as close to the orginal as i could so no lines showed. Went to orginal layer and softened up the edges a hair where it didnt look so hot and then merged all. Oh and just for fun, I used the warp tool and set it to expand and kinda made thier chests bigger. I said i was tired and delirious didnt I? lol

![]() This is what I did (Lightroom): 1. Straighten 2. Crop 3. Grayscale 4. Curves to achieve high contrast 5. Tint almost all the way towards Magenta (to alleviate the exagerated contrast and to bring back the eyes, which resulted too dark) 6. Give a cool color cast to the highlights 7. Give a warm color cast to the shadows 8. Added some vignette to subdue the window which was too bright and distracting 9. Tried to keep the grain/noise in the photo Unfortunately, there are very noticeable signs from recompression and blowing up resulting from the tighter focus.

![]() There is enough image here that I thought I would just clean around it and see what could be buffed and polished: - Cropped down to a simple background frame - Selected subject, removed background on separate layer - Darkened, lowered contrast, blurred first copy layer - Selected, lightened lower face - Selected eyes, lightened, sharpened - Buffed, polished, despeckled subject (reduced noise)

I'm loving these so far. Here's what I did.
![]() - LucasArt Exposure Filter to get the basic comic booked type look to it. - Selected the circle area, then inverted that and filled the new selection with black and changed belnding mode to screen (or something else that would allow me to see through it. - Layer of straight green to give it the large tint. Both of these last two steps also had the opacity played with.

![]() In CS3: tilted selection cropped Killed detail via: Gaussian Blur Surface Blur Unsharp Mask Blur Tool to further flatten flat areas Then: Filter - Brush Strokes - Accentuated Edges Adjustment - Photo Filter - Cooling Filter (82) I would have taken the time to clone out the thing on the chair but I don't have it.
