Default What Would You Do? #131

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This weeks submission is from my own archives.

As always, the rules are simple. Edit the image in anyway that you see fit. BUT, you have to post the steps that you took to get to your final product.

Let's see what you would do!

Please send some images to use!

I am me

What Would You Do #131

This seemed like a good candidate for selective color.

In Paint Shop Pro:
  • Duplicated the original image and converted to black and white with a green filter.
  • Adjusted levels.
  • Duplicated the original image again and removed everything except the motorcycle logo. Set the layer to overlay.
  • Duplicated the logo layer again and set to Color.
  • Adjusted sharpness and merged.

Default Bike rider

big bike rider 2 copy

i enlarged the canvas a little and copied the surrounding trees with rubber stamp tool.
i selected the bike print on the shirt and copied it to another layer and applied a little motion blur. i erased the print on the shirt with the clone tool. i also made the print a little smaller and stretched it a bit.
on a new layer i created a path and with a soft brush, i stroked the path with yelloworange color. applied layer mask to erase the streak on his face.
i added the eyes looking at the cyclist and selected his mouth and put it in another layer and went to edit, transform, flip vertical to make him smile. with layer mask i blended his lips and flattened.

Well, I thought I would give one of these a try. I use Nikon's Capture NX2 with Nik Color Efex Pro for processing. So it's not like I use layers in the traditional sense. I added a Bleach efect along with a tonal contrast.

hi windrider, another version. i hope the guy doesn't get mad at me.
i just added the bluish cast in the bg. added more flames and glitters on the trail.
i also added a new surprised look by changing the eyes and mouth.
i'm really enjoying this thread!

Great face!

I cropped it a bit, converted it to B/W, played with curves and contrast, burnt a little back into his beard and eyes, also cloned the HD logo out as it was distracting from his face, added an elipse vignette, and border and then really upped the contrast again.

Duplicate, adjusted contrast. merge, duplicate, destaurate, sharpen, merge, duplicate, add gaussian blur at 29% set blend mode to overlay, merge, duplicate, oversharpend bottom layer and then erased eyes on top layer. merge, duplicate, used Topaz Adjust Simplify to create edges, lowered opacity to about 20%. merge. duplicate. Used Topaz Adjust to create contrast and bring out details. merge, duplicate, used burn tool set for midtones and opacity level at about 20% to bring out lines. merge, duplictae, flood fill top layer with black and then erased areas I wanted to show. Using a lower opacity at the edges. merge and done
