Default filter size

HELP;

anyone know the size of the filter for the fugi s8000, or what mm the lense is, i cannot find out. someone gave me 58mm, they were to large.

It looks like the Fuji might use a 38mm filter. I couldn't confirm what was said in this post.

On film cameras the circle with the slash mark use to indicate Filter size, and the diameter of the lens is 38mm. There is no mention of a filter in the Manual.
Other sites, however, say that the s8000 doesn't have filter threads though. So if you can get to a camera store that might let you check and see if a filter will actually go on, that might be your best option.

Default Fugi s8000

I was told the Fuji s8000 has No Filters on the market that will fit, But, they are coming out with new Filters for this camera. If you have Not checked out this camera Now is the Time to do it, this is one sweet camera, Has everthing and a Anti-Dust, Great Lens and more.

my 5200 takes 55mm i currently have a UV filter..

WATCH OUT! you may need to buy a new lens cap as the stock Fuji cap does not fit the filter (Hoya)
