Default Question for S100fs users:

Hello everyone,

I have a question for Finepix S100fs users: I would like to know how this camera does when it comes to shallow depth of field.
Is it possible to create a shallow DOF with Fuji S100fs like with a dSLR?

I guess the S100fs should perform in this area better than other P&S cameras, because of it's size, or maybe I'm wrong...?

I have a S100FS and can go from f 2.6 to f 11 depending on the light available (the lower f stops are not always slectable). I've never had a DSLR so I wouldn't know the difference

Yeah, thanks for the answer. I know about it's f number range but the DOF depends on other things too.
Anyway, I've found my answer in a Flickr group dedicated to S100fs and it seems that it does the same job concerning shallow DOF as any other superzoom, and that is, very poor. They even say that the only way to produce a shallow DOF is to use macro mode.
