I feel the need to chime in here as well.

I've had this camera for about 2 months and it's great as a learning camera. I have been playing alot with the manual mode and trying all the different settings to get the hang of it.

One of the first things i did was get a tripod at walmart for $30 so that I could play with longer exposures with shake. One thing I have already found limiting is the cap on the shutter speed at 4 seconds. There have been some great opportunities to get good shots but they came out underexposed at times without a flash and I was unable to get a longer shutter.

Other than minor limitations in the settings which are still far past most point-and-shoots, this is a great camera. I bought it with a 2gb hi-speed sd card and 8 sony rechargable batteries and a sony charger all from amazon for about $240. Great deal!

If anyone has some tips on using the camera that would be great!

I'm thinking about getting one but was wondering if anyone had a sample pic taken in a gym. I do lots of sports pictures with my daughter in volleyball and basketball.

I've seen lots of great pics from this camera just none from a ball game.
I haven't taken pics in a gym but I have at the ball field and I must say I got some AWESOME shots!!!!
