Another Fujifilm fan here too - an E550 and an S9500: love 'em both.

Default Fuji fine pix j38

I actually recieved my fuji fine pix j38 for christmas. I have been known to mess around with the cameras, but i never had purchased one before. My family got it for me bkuz they felt that i was showing intrest in somthing that i should or could persue. So here i am trying to find out any tricks or helpful hints to become more understanding on how to experiment with my camera. It is a 12.2mp with a 3x optical zoom. Nothing too fany but so far i love the crisp and clear photos that i have taken. I joined this forum not to just learn about my camera but to comprehend the different settings and to actually gain the photographers mind when it comes to my snapshot. Ive never really taken much more than portraits but i want to extend my knowledge and broaden my artistic abilities. So if anyone is wither willing to help or become a pier to compare photos with then just hit me up...

I have a Fujifilm FinePix s700, and it's an amzing camera. I've never had any problems with it, ever. Though I do notice the graininess in the pictures sometimes. But almost all the time I get really clear shots.

Default another fuji user...

hey all. i'm new to DPS, though not new to using a fuji. my second digital camera was a finepix point and shoot. 5.1mp, 3x zoom. pretty standard as far as p&s cameras were concerned in 2004.

anywho, i just got a Finepix S2700 from best buy (on special, 4gb sdhc card & carrying case for $200). i can't find much on it... i did find out that it is a best buy-exclusive, but is exactly the same as the S1800, though i can't find much on that either.

As a matter of fact, i could find so little on the s2700 that i had to use the s2500hd pdf manual to really see all the uses for its features and instructions on how to use them. the s2700 manual leaves MUCH to be desired.

if anyone has any resources for the s2700, i'd be greatful if you could pass them along... i'm new to having a cam that i can control aperture, shutter speed, etc. my other p&s is a kodak m1063; the most it does it zoom in (3x), take ok macros, allow up to 4 second exposures, and quick EV compensation.

the yellow lilly picture was taken with my kodak, and the crescent moon in black sky was taken with the new finepix (for comparison, i also included a shot of the full moon taken with the kodak. not as detailed, but i think it's still impressive that you can see shadows on the lunar surface)

Hi! I just got a Fuji S4000 for Christmas. It's a better camera than I've ever had and my biggest complaint is that it can't shoot in RAW, but hey! I can live with that. Just happy to have a good camera at last. I'm not sure yet what i can do with the camera and what i can't. Maybe someone who's had experience with that or a similar Fuji can tell me what are the main pros and cons with this thing, or something like that? Thanks!
