I have been using an s9600 since christmas and have found it to be a very versatile and forgiving camera. I've got a couple of filters for it that I use regularly but I have seen wide angle and telephoto converters for sale on ebay and wondered if they were any good.
Has anyone had experience of these sort of lens converters and can you make any recommendations. Duncan |

any links? which brands? some have really low quality optics so you might want to read some reviews first. rule of thumb: if the price is to good to be true, then you know that they got something up their sleeves. besides, the 10.7x zoom range that you have on your camera is pretty decent, or rather, an excellent range already. a hot-shoe flash or off-camera flash would probably be a better addition to your camera bag ^_^

I don't neccesarily need to improve the range of the lens, I was just wondering what they were like.
the brand names I can find are Opteka and plus Photo and a few other nameless ones. Prices are around the £40 mark so on the 'you get what you pay for' basis I'm guessing they're not that great quality. If anyone knows better please let me know. |

oooh... opteka... let's just put it this way: i have yet to hear anybody praise their glass. you might want to look for some raynox wide and tele adapters... i'm not sure if they can fit onto your camera though, but i've got to say that their wide angle lens is nice, and even their teles. i like their collapsible rubber lens hood a lot.
