Hi all, I am thinking of buying the Fuji HS10, does anybody have any experience with this camera. It looks pretty impressive on paper and even in handling it in the shop, but I need to make sure.

Yes, I've had the HS10 for a few months now and love it. What attracted me was the long zoom and this, together with a tele lens, gives excellent results - although I'm not a photography expert - more 'point n shoot' with occasional dips into manual mode!
Theres a few down sides to the camera. For example, the so-called continuous mode will only give you at most 7 images and saving them to memory is quite slow. And although it has a RAW mode, this is also slow to save to memory. I would read one or two of the full reviews available on the net to get a better idea of its strong and weak points. |

I had used a Fujifilm FinePix HS10 for several time ago and liked to used it.If you are in the market for a bridge camera, the HS-10 should definitely be on your shopping list,so dafinately you can buy it.The camera takes great photos. The camera is light and easy to use, responsive and simple. The lcd screen is nice and large and colorful. The view finder while nice that it has an automatic sensor that detects your eye.

Hi
I have the camera and am thrilled, more than enough to get my teeth into, the only thing I would like is the ability to really rattle off shots like you can on a dslr, the zoom however, is a real game changer and I cannot praise it enough. This is my first non point and shoot compact and I am impressed with the results. Some shots I have on flikr...Flickr: hogblower's Photostream As you can see, if you play with the setting Bokeh effects are possible despite what some reviews may say. |

I had this for a few weeks but the LCD would act funky almost like it would short out go black & after gently shaking the camera it would pop back on.So returned it & got a Canon XS think I may just go exchange it back for the Fuji
It does take nice pics but macro not so much..The slow motion video was awesome.. |

@ cid67. Re that viewfinder blacking out. That's because of the sensor which should only switch to the ELF when you hold your eye up to the camera. It can become confused. It can be turned off in your settings. Otherwise, the more that I get the hang of this camera, the more I like it! Cheers...

This is my first major camera since I have gotten into photography.
Sure, its not DSLR, but it does do a great job being a bridge camera. Most people who see my shots (post-editing) will think it was shot from a DSLR. If you have any specific questions, pm me. Otherwise, Youtube some reviews about it.

I've only owned the HS10 for a short time. I am a photography idiot, but the more i use it the better pictures i am achieving! if you are looking for a camera that will allow you to learn what you are actually doing with your camera, I would think that the HS10 is the perfect choice! there is a site on the net that has helped me a lot. message me if interested.
