Showcasing Wedding Pictures

Hi everyone,

Hope all enjoyed the weekend!

I was wondering if anyone knows of any hosting sites that will allow you to upload pictures and create a password protected album so you can show the pictures the the bride and groom...an online proof book of sorts. Anyone?

Smugmug and Zenfolio both offer this. I personally use Zenfolio and have been happy with them, but I've heard lots of good things about Smugmug too.

Check out this site as well. I believe they allow visitors to purchase online and you get paid as well. Sometimes you have those impluse buyers that you want to get right away.

I like photo reflect (https://www.photoreflect.com/Default.aspx). It's a free service that uses the ExpressDigital software. It has a online shopping cart as well. It makes a easy workflow.

Hi Mike,

There's a lot of software that can fill this need for you, and what's best for you depends on the level of features you want and the price you're willing to pay.

There are some solutions where you pay a commission or a monthly basis. Some with loads of features and some that are simpler.

I've actually developed a program called Photography Orders. In the spectrum of photography shopping carts, Photography Orders is clean/easy to use, and a cheaper alternative that doesn't require any ongoing costs. Well worth checking out to see if it's what suits you.

If you just want to display photos on the web (not get them printed & delivered by a third party), most web hosts will let you set permissions on directories - so you could build your own website.
