Lightbulb High Schooler trying to make some cash

Hey I'm a freshmen in high school. Lots of people want me to take pics of them for personal uses, events and album stuff. My upcoming job is a music group wants me to take pictures like an album cover and possibly posters and individual shots. How much should I charge?

There are countless "what should I charge" threads, you might benefit from going back and looking through them.

In your case, I don't know, it seems fairly informal. You will probably end up coming to a handshake agreement with some compromise, at best; if you start trying to charge pro rates, they will probably just grab a point & shoot and do it for free themselves.

You might want to start by asking what their budget is and go from there. They probably don't have much to spend; small local bands usually have accounting in the black, if they're lucky.

What exactly will you be doing for them? How many shots, what is their print run, are you using lighting equipment, etc.?
