20 somethings having babies - think yoga classes/lamaze classes.. Take a look around your local yoga places or centres that offer these types of programs. I know the yoga place I go to has a HUGE ad board where people leave ads for all kinds of things. Just pin up a business card or flyer.

What about leaving flyers in the library or local mother and baby groups. You could also ask a local nursery equipment shop owner if you could place flyers in his/her shop window.

20 somethings hang out in coffee shops, local mothers groups, friends houses.

Local newspapers are also a great idea.

Well, there were a whole bunch of fun ideas I had but most of them involved waiting 9 months.

Seriously though, you might try posting at Lamaze classes or the Le Leche League?

We are not allowed to leave fliers at the library and most moms join the moms club a bit too late (I am looking for one month or younger). I must say I LOVE moms clubs, that is how I get 90% of my business. I did forget about coffee shops. I need to post a few fliers there - I forget they have other things besides caffeinated drinks - LOL

GREAT idea re le Leche.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but you could try consignment shops.

I have thought of second hand shops, but I need to find a high end one. My prices are not high BUT I really do not want to attract folks who plan on nickleing and diming me. Called some yoga places, two got back to me and sd that they would distribute my coupon to their clients. Will also print up some fliers or business cards with a coupon or something like that...

What about running a competition calling all new mums with babies born between certain dates. Every new mum thinks their little angel is a beauty even if they do look like ET.

The winner will receive a free 10 x 8 print. It'll be great as you'll get loads of new mums through your door and once they see their baby's photo they won't be able to resist buying.

I remember when I was in hospital a photographer came in once or twice a week and set up a portable studio of all the newborns. The mums just wheeled their bubba down in their cribs and placed them onto the mat and the photographer just shot away. The photos are a touch "walmart" but a great keepsake. Maybe you could do a similar thing. Obviously your skills and experience would create something special and nothing like Walmart!

Just a few more ideas!

You beat me too it, I was going to say pretty much the same thing! Run a competition, winner gets free shoot and prints - a decent amount, too you're giving them a prize and you get lots of leads in return. I would think that most mothers groups wouldn't mind putting up flyers. Then you collect peoples email address and phone numbers and get to market to them over the following couple weeks.
