Default Needed Suggestions

My friend and I went to a new bar/lounge that opened up for us to check out and have couple of drinks. I had my camera with me and I was just taking random bar shots and the owner came up to me and asked me if there are some good pictures could you e-mail me them, giving me his business card. So I started shooting away, kind of working in low light, but I managed using stabilization techniques such leaning against a wall, setting camera on the table, working with high ISO, etc.

I loaded them on the computer and sent them to him. I was shocked when he was very impressed with the shots I took and wanted to use them to post up on their upcoming website. I know I'm FAR from being good. I'm more than welcome anytime to take photos their place and if I could do more photo shooting, he wants me to take photos of local band performance to post up around their lounge so "if interested, give me a call, and we'll talk" meaning business.

I just got into photography this year so I'm just an amateur, no schooling, just as a hobby from reading, online forums, talking with other photographers, experimenting, and for every question I had I needed to know the answer. Eventually I'll tell him I'm just an amateur and see what he wants in photos and then we'll work from there. But if he still wants me, then what should I expect?

Some of the things I'm thinking right now is...

I don't have any serious gear, all I have is D60, 8GB Memory, and 18-55 & 18-270mm lenses. I've never charged a photo before, With 10.2MP, how large can it blow up for a poster size? Just give me a suggestions there's always more to learn as always...Here are my photos, these are some of them that are going on the site...

Compliment me or bash on me, it's all learning process, cheers!

While you did a VERY good job, there's still an appreciable amount of motion blur on the stable subjects.

What I would do is e-mail him some very small resolution copies (600x400 MAX) showing what you *can* do, but offer to come in with a tripod and do it properly. For a fee.

If he balks at that, then I wouldnt bother, unless youre not looking for compensation. Make clear in your original e-mail that the photos are to be used as proofs only and are NOT for general use (throw a big watermark on them, too, if you'd like).

Youve done an excellent job at showing off some nice aspects of the place, but it just needs some technical expertise.

Yeah I noticed the blur too, I didn't have a tripod and it was low lighting, so I never really practiced much in low lighting areas. Thanks for the tip!
