Post Logo Poll

Do you have a logo? If so...

Who designed it for you?
How much did it cost?
Do you think it is important to have a logo besides just a name?

I have a logo that i designed myself (see my signature for a link). I dont think that for something like this a logo is necessary: your name is what people will remember. What is important, though, is a "brand plan", wherein all your documentation (letterhead, business cards, website, etc) use the same design elements in the same way. Stick with one big motif and use it for everything. it ties everything in to everything else and makes your business seem much more cohesive.

Colours, fonts, design elements, sizing... keep it all the same throughout.

i dont particularly have a "logo" design to go with my name but i did (or i should say my husband) had designed a specific way of using fonts for my name to carry throughout

i agree with osmosis though - if you have a specific design make sure you stick to it through out all your paper work, site, business cards etc.
it looks much more professional. i would say even the colour scheme. because bottom line is - it represents your company and it does leave a lasting impression (it does for me at least - cant say how others feel though)

I have a logo...of sorts. It's just my printed name over the top of my signature. You can see it in the lower corner of this image...

Lone Pine

I have two "logos". One is a copyright signature logo (like this one) and the other is just my normal signature logo without the copyright symbol.

...and no, that is not the signature I use for writing out checks. I use this signature just for signing photographs or other non-business applications.

I've been through several incarnations of this concept, and mostly been unsatisfied with what I came up with. I am however, going to 'borrow' Navcom's very simple idea today and play with that. I'm sure as a fellow Pentaxian he won't mind

LOL!

Go for it! It's not trademarked.

...just don't use my signature and write your name over the top of it! (Just had to make sure as I see you have a Canon in your list too. )

...end of good fun jabbing.
