I assume you are referring to me. If not, consider this babbling.
![]() It's actually an action I created that automatically puts it into any file I wish. But the file(s) exist on a white background on my computer.... First I wrote out my signature on a piece of paper and scanned it in. In Photoshop, I cleaned up the scan by making the background completely white with the signature completely black. Second, I put the signature on a layer and set it's opacity to about 30%. I then created a second layer with the printed text (black). I set it's opacity to about 65%. Then, to include it in a print, I copy the two layers into the new file and adjust the opacity and size to fit. That's all there is to it!

So i have a logo if you will but I can't figure out how to just get the text on the picture without a background what am I doing wrong.
Using photoshop I create a transperant layer type my text in two different colors save as a brush preset. but when i go to apply the brush it is in one color. is there an easier way to do this?

To get my logo into any other file, I open my new file and perform the action. The action opens the separate logo file and copies the two layers into the new file. That way they retain their layer properties. ...at least that is what I think I did. It's been awhile since I set it up.

Looking through my action, I think I probably got it a bit wrong in my last post. Here is what mine does... My separate logo file is stored in a directory on my hard drive and it never moves. That's because the action opens that specific file every time I run it. To get my signature and my printed name on separate layers in the new file, I first do the signature part. I turn off the layer with the printed text so just the signature is showing. Then I use "color range" to select just the color of the signature. I copy it (ctrl-c) and select the new file. I then paste it (ctrl-v). A new layer is created in the new file. I then go back to the logo file, turn off the signature layer and turn on the printed text layer and do all the same steps as I did for the signature to create another layer in the new file. Now going back to the new file, you will have two layers. Set your opacity on each layer so it looks nice. All these steps can be incorporated into an action so all you have to do is select to run the action and it will all be done for you. It's probably a bit confusing...I"m not the best at explaining Photoshop!
