I'm new to using flickr, and I realized recently that you can click on "all sizes" and theres a download link! Does this mean anyone can download my pictures? How do I protect myself?

You can change your settings for who can download your photos here. If you change it from anything other than "Anybody" Flickr puts a clear .gif file over your images to *discourage* downloading. Still, it will make it so that people can't grab the full size images that you upload. There's no 100% protection on the internet, but that's a choice / tradeoff you have to make if you want to show your photos online.

The only way to protect your images is to never, ever put them online. When a photo can be downloaded and displayed by a browser (like Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer) it can also be downloaded and saved by a human. It's that simple.
