I also don't like being directed to a splash page....however I don't have any criticisms as entertaining as Osmosis. Texas is too far for me. : )

Man, it seems every other question at the moment is can I have Flash. Can't you read all the other posts people???

Anyway, I'll make it real simple this time, 2 questions...

1. What do you want users to do on your website (I'm guessing look at your folio?)
2. What is the simplest way I can let them do it?

The answer to the 2nd question is not put another click between them and their goal. You also have SEO issues with Spash pages, but SEO comes second to useabilty.
