well its only 5 bucks a month for hosting and they are really the only ones ive found that i liked their templates.

i have a certain amount of pages but for what i wanted to do i need more and i think im just going to wait. its technically not alot more to pay but i think ill just leave it temporarily

Squarespace.com is a good site. They have some nice templates and they are very customizable for a beginner. I believe the second cheapest option in their pricing tier allows for a photo gallery and your own domain. I want to say this option is around 14 a month, and you can buy a domain for seven bucks or less per year from godaddy.com.

They have a nice gallery of actual users websites, some are just blogs and some are actual corporations. Looks like a nice set up.

I have heard adds on my local radio stations for a web design company who will create your entire website, and then turn it over to you to run. I supposedly a simple process to maintain the site after the design. They advertise 400 for the whole process. I'm sure there are similar things elsewhere.

When you open the link, this portrait pops up and takes your attention (screenshot):



One would expect that when you click on one of the galleries, for example Fashion and Beauty, the portrait will go away and some fashion pisc will load, but on his/her website that portrait is the banner and the contents is below it, in my case not visible on the screen:



The only thing that changes on my screen are some text, on screenshot below the contact number (in black)...

This is a nice idea, I love when somebody brakes the rule, but if breaking the rule means inconvenience for the audience, than go back and stick to the rules. In this case I almost left the site thinking the links are broken. Hope everything is clear now...

@ tokyorush - i dont know why its down i dont have a problem loading it at all. i know some people have loaded it without a problem. i posted a thread to see if this is happening to more users and what i can do about it. we'll see what happens

Waffles, how can it possibly be on my end when I am able to open everything else but her site? I tried multiple browsers (FF, Safari, Flock), none worked. But definitely it is something strange since my browser was able to read the page title....

You're the only person who's had a problem seeing it. It is entirely possible for your computer to have somehow decided that it won't load her site.

It could also just be that the site is timing out for some reason and other things are loading properly and faster.

Might be some local filter since I am checking from Japan, ISPs have weird rules here....dunno...anyhow, still can't see it and this is exactly why prefer to pay money for proper hosting and set my website where I want, no limitations like this. All these sites that offer free or almost free website have some catch to it....guess this might be EnZe's...
