Default New Business Card feedback

Hi All

First post! I am just about to set up on my own and wondered what your feedback is to my new business card?

It has a front and back...

(the web address at the bottom appears quite sharp in white and not blurry like this example)

Looking forward to your comments.

Thank you all in advance.

I like it - I really do - it's colourful and has 'Pzazzz'. Wouldn't you consider having an image you've captured on it?

It looks like the bottom of the blue blob part might be cut off. I'd double check that before printing just in case I quite like the simpler one on the left.

.. It was the front and back sides...

Anywho, looks fun! Printing on glossy paper so the colors pop a bit more? Would hate to see such vividness on matte cardstock.

Hmm, i'm going to have to disagree with the prevailing sentiment in this thread.

If you're going for a professional look, to me this looks like something thrown together in Publisher using Clip Art. Also, I'm not a fan of rainbows and so forth - they are overused by everyone to make their card/flyer/poster look "unique", just like everyone else's.

Possibly a more clean look would work better.
Try moo.com for an interesting take on cards. Admittedly, you don't get as much control over layout of your cards, but they're second to none for quality.

If you have any questions about what I've said, do ask - I like your idea, but it could use improvement and polish!

I quite like them, they looks different. At the end of the day you do want them to stand ot. I can't help thinking you'd bet better having a photograph on one side & the information on the other, though. A bit conventional I suppose. I don't know, it just seems a bit odd having both sides look similar but not contain the same info. Also, you can't really 'see' what your photography is like. This might just be me, though.

I've just got some moo cards & LOVE them
(nb. these are the mini ones & not the greatest photo - the cards are brilliant quality).
My very own moo cards :-)

Good luck with the business!

This is completely opposite to my taste.. I like the simplicity of the first one, but at the same time the colors and graphics look unlike a photog card. You might want to get some ideas from Scatterbrain's samples.

The second one might show your strengths but restricts the possibilities.. like if someone is looking to get photos of their kids during some games, sports photography, or say product photography at which you might be good enough, but looking at your 2nd card they might think you are not interested at all in such ventures and you might lose out.

Keep it simple and open to any assignment. That way at least people will contact you and at that moment you can decide if you want to take it or no.

Your logo has some nice pop to it, but after that the card gets very "busy". I'd suggest using just one font aside from the logo and replacing the gradient at the bottom with a solid background.
