lol.

no worries.

just have a game plan and how you want it to look. give him examples so it's easier for him to visualize what you want done.

you'll do fine.

What is he charging you? I have changed my smugmug site from simple to very complex to middle of the road and would be happy to help you out free of charge.

SmugMug can be intimidating to a newbie, but once you learn the simple tricks it can be fairly easy and fun. I am serious about the offer to help.

I had my meeting ,& thanks to you guys I did have an idea as to what I needed done to the site . Unfortunitly he was more into desgining from scratch . He took me into the program,or should I say behind the program ,it is all code back there . I have no clue as to what he was talking about Widgets , what are those ?
He is going to contact smugmug about a few things ,like key words that lead to my site from google he used some phrase for that that I had never heard . He did get the slide show going & did a header & a footer , now I need a middle LOL , it is there but even he did not know how to work the program to use my photo collage as my home page . well that is where I am at so any suggestions would be great . I did work on my bio since I got home , it was a mess .

Thanks for the compliments on my site. It took a while to get it to where I wanted it and many many iterations of which I saved each version.

If you need help just holler. My days are full with work work, but my evenings and weekends I can usually eek out some time to help folks out.

The SmugMug slideshow (the Shizam Flash Slideshow) can be a pain to get going if you have not played with the CSS before, but it is fairly easy to set up. First off you want to create a private gallery to put your images for the slideshow in...from there it's just coding a few pages to show the slideshow and then creating an alternate home page with your actual info.

Sounds easy when you say it like that ,I am hoping the guy I seen yesterday gets the job done & I can play with it from there & get some pointers from you as to how to make it as awsome as your site is . He is just doing the basics for me ,working inside the limatations of a pre desgined site is not what he usualy does ,he said the site was good it is just not what he is use to doing ,he builds them from scratch , after he contacts SmugMug he will be sending me a list of instructions on how to set up the things that I want ,so that should help get me in the ball park at least .

:Yup that was the message I got . Just wanted to let everyone know the web desginer who look at my Smugmug site explained alot of things I still do not understand. He desgines a site from scratch ,but after looking at & contacting SmugMug he told me everything I needed was there and it is a good and easy set up . I had to tell the man he was speeking a new language ,talk down to me man ,he had a hard time to keep from laughing at me I know ,well he did laugh a few times . Any whoooooooo he helped me understand enough to get things running and I am happy with my site . If I get right brave or smart I may try making other changes well ya never know it could happen .Getting ready for a big show and 2 smaller ones so glad the site issue is behind me . Thanks everone for all of your help you guys are great .
