Default Panoramic photography for hotels

Hello guys!
I've been thinking about offering my services for hotels and what not, about shooting panoramic photos and quicktime/flash VR, and shooting HDR stuff might also be on the menu.
I'm an amateur just looking to earn a few euros, and don't own a DSLR yet so i would have to invest and learn.
What do you guys think about my business idea?

I dont see why not. Go for it. Just have a good portfolio to show the clients. They will be more willing to buy if you look professional.

Do you have any experience with VR photography/software? Because it's not a shallow learning curve, and it's not the kind of thing that readily lends itself to non-SLR photo equipment. VR photography can be comparatively intense, both equipment and software-wise. Over and above the dSLR body, I sank a good $800 into equipment ($500->fisheye lens, $200 panohead, $100 tripod) and I'm just a hobbyist.

If you do have experience, though, I agree: go for it. And pleinpot will be your friend.

Yes, one of my hobbies is to shoot panoramas (gallery: http://www.panoramio.com/user/862429 ),though I've never tried doing them in full 360x180.
I would need to do a big investment, that's for sure.
Thank you for the pleinpot tip!
I'm worried about the possibility that no client would be interested in my type of services.

Well, it's worth a shot, at least for exteriors!

I think one of the better pano boards out there, where there are quite a few folks doing pro VR work, is the panoguide forums. They might be able to give you more specific advice on how to attract clients.
