Default High Resolution Images - What do I charge

Hi,

I was asked to take some shots of a bridge for a commercial company, the images will be used for large format posters, approx A0 in size so they asked to have the high resolution images in RAW format (they specifically asked for them not to be processed). I spent about 3hrs taking them and gave them 30images as they wanted lots of view points. I gave it to them today and they were happy with the shots.

I know what i will charge for the time but I wouldn't have a clue where to start in regards to pricing for high resolution images. any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

I would pick up a resource like this one

Pricing Photography

Here are some online links

http://www.sethresnick.com/price/price.html

You should give them TIFF files and not RAW files. I would never give my RAW files away.

Yeah, definetly dont give RAW files away, no matter what they ask. If anything, offer them 300dpi TIFFs.

Another thing to keep in mind is to not give the client what they ask for until you receive your end of the deal.

Thanks everyone for the help and the opint in the right direction!!!

Regarding the RAW images, i'll have to keep that in mind for the next time, it's a little late now.... oh well, and regarding payment up front, they are for the company I work permanently so no hassles there but definately if a company i didn't know asked me to do some work I'd definately expect part payment up front after they accepted the quote.

Thanks again all!!!!
