Default Do professional photographers print their own images?

I'm learning my way through to professional photography and I was wondering "Do professional photographers print the images for their clients or do you have a professional printer do it?"

It depends. Some do, some don't.

Personally, I find it more economical to have a lab do the printing for most of my work.

You can lower expenses by printing yourself .. with a proper investment of a few grand minimum (to offer a professional product) however, you are then lowering profits because you have more work to do. Plus you will still need the lab anyway if you are selling boutique items like layflat books, metal items, etc.

I personally do not print anything myself.

If you have the means to do it personally, that will be great. Its more economical and you can add personal touch with your images.
