Default what is a good stand alone photography CMS

I am looking to host my own photography site, I have been shopping around, and I can't seem to find one where I do not have to pay a month subscription fee.

I am looking to offer an event based photo gallery that is secured via password where a customer can access the gallery of picture from their event, order prints and have me ship the prints to them.

I do not want to host it with a 3rd party photo management site, unless I absolutely have to.

Check out Photocrati. It's fairly simple to use - and no monthly fee.

Take care,

There are a couple of programs that will allow you to run the gallery/cart from your own website. The one that comes to mind first is PhotoCart: Pictures Pro - Photo Cart. It's expensive, but the people that I've talked to that use it love it.

Bollox. I've literally just signed up for a pro zenfolio account :P - although they offer unlimited bandwidth which is a must, I've 2.5gb to upload today

Another system to check out is Photography Orders. Photography Shopping Cart Script, Online Photo Proofing Software for photographers

It's similar to Photo Cart but is a bit simpler and a bit cheaper as well

I've tried all sorts of CMS packages out there like proofbuddy, zenphoto, photocart etc. So far I've have found them all to be crap. Most want to charge you money for doing anything while being a terrible service. I have been doing a lot more events and would like to share the pics with the people who attended, but also get the benefit of them purchasing a print from me.*Does anyone have a good alternative to these?*
