Hello all. I live in Las Vegas and we have hundreds of conventions each year in various locations.
I wanted to know if anyone has experience getting into contact with the event planners and what to say to them to shoot their conventions. How should the conversation go? I am thinking at the minimum 125 hr rate, minimum 2hrs. I will do the basic editing and setup a place where they can login and get the images. Any suggestions or comments in regards to this?

That's way too low a figure. You would loose time and money. Besides most convention organizations will hire a photo group that will have onsite printing capabilities to sell prints & CD's on the spot.
