Default my new idea NameArt photography services

Hello Everyone! i hope everybody had a wonderful christmas! I came across a new idea that i just fell into while doing a christmas present for my sister with my photography, and thought i would share it with you all. Maybe you have heard of this idea but not thought about offering it to your local sceene through your photography. I'm calling it NameArt photography services on my page. Basically Here is what i wrote up to copy and paste to interested customers but excluded my pricing...

NAMEART collages
*NameArt photo collages can be designed around the style/theme of any room. I will photograph everyday objects that mimic letters of a name to go with the style/theme of your choosing. Collages can be horizontal or vertically designed, and I am also offering letters separately printed on square sizes for hanging separately. I will need to know preferences ahead of time. Each price includes a just print price and a mounted on board price --either is available. I recommend if you are wanting a print only to frame to look into what sizes are available in your area in a frame before picking to make sure you are able to find a frame for your print. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you

Here are a couple examples of collages i did. Both customers are very rustic/country so i designed them using that in mind!

My sisters i designed for a christmas gift. "Shuler" printed 10x30 on a foamboard with METALLIC paper.
CoffeeShop Baking with Mom Ethereal Textures5

"Ammons" One i did yesterday for a client and used a new design idea with putting families names and date married in the border for a more personalized feel.
MARCIE-3

This idea may not be everyones cup of tea but in my area there is no one else offering this service and after i posted my sisters as an example i received 25 comments on the pic in the first 30 min and 10 new clients for my NameArt services in the first day. For me this is an easy money project. collage building design comes easy to me, and the objects don't require me to have a babysitter, they sit still and photographing objects is a lot more forgiving on time of day for good light slightly harsh light adds a little more depth and 3d effect to the objects--infact i took my 4kids with me yesterday on a nature walk and to play at a park and just took my camera along to capture objects in letter shapes, then came home and built the collage(just a day project finish to end). I now see letters everywhere i go hahaha.

I'm expecting to take some with sports in mind and can't wait....

Took over so well thought i would pass it along!

This is an idea I am fairly impressed with.

Might want to start a collection of "letters" so you don't recreate the same stuff over and over to keep it fresh.

Yeah it's pretty cool. There was a shop here that did them - just them, nothing else, it went under pretty quick :P lol But no, good idea, especially if you market it online.

Personally, I'd have an image creator. Maybe 10-20 of each letter and the buyer gets to put together whatever they want with which ever styles they want.

There was a guy offering this at a flea market a couple of years ago. Guy had about 10-15 different pictures for each letter you could choose from.

My wife thought it was a good idea and thought I should do something like that...I thought it seemed like a lot of work...

Good luck with it though.:

Yeah i wouldn't want to do it exclusively and set up a booth or anything like that! I already provide children/family portraits in my area and just another service i can provide. But actually a lot less work than portraits in my experience lol. I'm just doing it as i receive request though for now, so far it is just a stop on the side of the road on the way to town and get images i've needed. i would say getting 10-15 of each letter ensuring different styles would take a while to work up lol.

thank you for your comments

Default just another way to make some money with photography

Mainly for me it was just another way to market myself with photography as a service and offering something the competition in my area isn't yet. I think in photography these days creativity and new ideas is a must to keep interest. I've noticed i'm gaining a new genre of clients from it, so i'm pleased . Plus then i can offer it as an option for a header type of photo for a family session wall collage in a set. I already supply pictures of several design layouts of sizes for groupings/framed pics to my clients when they order, and what sizes go well with each other. I've seen an increase in sales since i started that! People a lot of times don't know what to order because they can't visualize what sizes will look good on a wall. i give them the visual and a lot of times they say---yes i want my wall to look like that one! I can offer this as a header for a grouping to finish off the wall as well.

Just another marketing strategy lol. not a get rich quick scheme or anything haha. Just addnig another service / option to my customers (but an extra sale is an extra sale lol)

Nice! This would be an excellent idea for Christmas presents in my family.

I'm going to start searching for letters while out and about...thanks for the awesome idea!
