Default start-up equiptment...any recomendations?

Well,I am just a rookie with photography, but I have a very artistic eye and have taken wonderful pics with my Kodak Z740.
so i want to go into business, have already done some cd covershots for musicians...
I want to get some equiptment that will allow me to take great pics, a portable printer to print on the spot, some software(?)...
Like, if I go to a dog park (yes they pay) and want to show them their little doggie in play I can, some kind of veiwing screen?...if they like it I want to print on the spot and sell the pics...will do this kind of on the spot photography anywhere and everywhere...
I have been looking at some Canon cameras and portable printers....I would just like to know if there are any with and recomindations ....
thank you in advance for taking the time to respond...

Polaroid Z340.

Seriously, figure out your business plan.
Get dSLR equipment, and learn it thoroughly enough that you can consistently deliver high quality images, at speed and under pressure.

THEN consider approaching folks in the park.

Owning a dSLR doesn't make you a professional photographer. It just makes you a dSLR owner.

Ya know, I asked a simple question on equiptment, what I receive is self-impoertance arrogance. I bet you are a Photo grad at some community college, lots of "book-learnin".
I brought up a small expample of what I want to do and my equipment needs.
you dont know me and my abilility to form a business plan...
I presently take wonderful pics, I am a natural at photography...a creative, artistic eye that people appreciate and enjoy.
One of my customers is a musical dou, I have taken all their publicity shots, action and possed. My pics are on their CD cover, posters and web page...
I had another "professional" criticize their cover pic because she said that I had the vocalist behind the guitarist, something a "professional" would never do. Now the customer loves the pics, everyone has an opinion.
I hate to break the news but what makes a "Professional" is when people will pay you money for your pics....and they do me....

It's nothing personal. We see questions like this several times a week. It wears on the patience sometimes. This week in particular seems to have been particularly difficult.

If you're asking the question at all, you need to reassess your skill level. Get out and shoot more. Keep learning, and work on technique. When you're ready to start getting paid for your work, you'll know what equipment you need without having to ask.

Actually, I'm a self-taught hobbyist who's been shooting with an SLR for over 30 years, but far be it from me to pop your mental picture. You asked for free advice on an internet messageboard. That advice is pretty much going to be worth what you paid for it.

You got an accurate, simple answer. Dont like it? Go elsewhere. But the opinion Inkista gave you is accurate and in line with what most people would tell you.

Suck it up, buttercup.

Please don't purchase a kit camera with kit lenses and expect to be a pro overnight.

Wow, what self-righteous twaddle... If you are so good and so offended by an accurate answer to your mildly vague question I'd suggest not reading further. The fact that you are even capable of typing with your head inserted where it is could be the most impressive thing about your post. It gets old when someone like you comes here and doesn't hear what they want and begins attacking others. Seriously, if you are so great then you shouldn't need to come here and ask such an inane question since you already think you know all there is to know.....
