I don't think max was rude.
If one is serious about charging for professional services, one must present oneself in a professional manner. A vast majority of professional photographers are web based; therefore, the first thing potential customers see is the website. When I'm searching for goods or services on the web and I come across a site with spelling and grammer errors, I just press on. If the business doesn't care enough to ensure details such as proper spelling and grammer, I don't want to take the chance of the goods or services I willing to pay for to be completed in the same shoddy manner. If the OP wants to market herself to the hip hop, electronic generation, she may be able to get away with the slang and texting shortcuts. But if she wants to continue with racing and portrait photrography, she will need to have a professional website. A little dose of reality can go a long way. Sadly, she will never see this as it seems she left in a huff.

Not rude at all. There was no name-calling, no calling-of-parent's-relationship status, nothing but advising the child to learn to communicate in a professional manner prior to trying to pass as a professional.

Note the OP location "Cali" I believe his name, "Kali Kat", is supposed to mean he's a cool cat from California ![]() Quote:
EXACTLY! No need for kid gloves here... better for the poster to get some solid advice so he can correct his behavior before he hangs his shingle and then wonders why he isn't getting any business. When I was 20 I was a Secretary and my boss used to red-line everything I typed for correction, didn't seem like a big deal. When I went to my next job, my boss red-lined my documents for 1 week, then she called me into her office and said flat out, "GCG, if you don't start proof reading your work I'm going to let you go." That was my wake up call, and since then grammar and spelling have been a HUGE priority for me, not only in my professional life, but in all written correspondence. Shortcuts and internet lingo are fine sometimes; there's a time and place for everything. However, for the most part, it's best to pay attention to spelling and grammar if you want to be taken seriously and don't want the people reading what you wrote to think you are a moron.
