Default Mpix vs. VistaPrint for Business Cards

I got about $50 to use up right now and I thought to getting some nice real business cards printed with that... What do you guys think in your opinions or/and experiences from the two?

As for pricing and for what I want and need (250 business cards, glossy, custom upload (design), and double side printing).

VistaPrint would cost about $52 not including tax/shipping

and Mpix would cost $40 (but with no glossy finish as its not an option right now) not including tax/shipping

and on a side note I was also looking at the Folded Business Cards on mpix and they're about $42 for 200 cards, but they have much more space to show more information or/and details which could work into my advantage. And VistaPrint's Folded Business Cards are priced at about $67 for 250 cards, and gloss finish, etc..

I've had thousands upon thousands of cards and postcards printed thru vista print, they usually offer a deal at the end of the order to double your order for 1/2 off...

So I usually purchase at least 500 cards at 50.00, get and extra 500 for 25.00 more..you could purchase 250 + double your order for less than 50 including shipping...

I love MPix, and more importantly, I trust them.

lol vote fail.

Dont order too many, because you'll want to change something. It's a common mistake in business.
I use Goodprint, look out for their offers like 60% off and stuff or tweet them and they sometimes give you a code

hahah, pretty funny story...when I was green in business way back when I thought it was cool to have a calendar printed on the back of my cards, after all they weren't charging for the second side, needless to say back then I could never hand out 1000 cards in a year, so ultimately i had to order new cards, which cost more than the second side in the first place...live and learn

I use these guys. Back when I worked at FedEx Kinko's, they (upper management) were talking about outsourcing for color business cards, and these were the guys they were going to go with. Color24 is dirt cheap compared to vistaprint, and I've noticed that they're more consistent too. In 1000 cards from Color24, I only noticed 2 that were bad, while in 100 postcards from vistaprint, a lot of them have shift/creep in the cuts.

Of course, as BuddhaPi said, 1000 cards is a lot. The design I loved 4 years ago makes me cringe now.

Moo.com does shorter print runs, they're also reasonably cheap, and they offer multiple designs in the same run--so you can get 50 business cards with 5 cards each of 10 different designs. I'll probably try them next, once I decide to bite the bullet and update my cards.

I used MOO | Custom Business Cards, MiniCards, Postcards and more... | moo.com USA. I liked that I could choose as many different pictures as I wanted to show off my work on my business cards. Quality is great and people like to be able to look at and choose what card they want. You can also separate the cards to target a specific person. I have cards with family portraits for the moms, pretty girl for the senior portraits, baby and maternity picture for expecting moms and so on. Price isn't too bad either.
