Default Considering dPS eBooks... anyone here buy them?

If so, please share honest insight on how they were written, style, how long it took to take action on what you've read and results from the action taken.

I think a great deal depends on what level you are at as a photographer and where your interest lies. There are 7 books out currently. You may not be interested in "The Art of Self-Portraiture", but if you are attempting a 365 selfie, you will find that ebook to be very helpful. If you are a beginner and are a bit confused by everything your camera can do, the "Photo Nuts and Bolts" book can explain the basics to you. "Photo Nuts and Shots" takes it a step further. Likewise, "How to Take Gorgeous Photos of Your Kids" is aimed more toward the the parent that wants to improve in this area, although the information could be helpful to anyone that wants to get more involved with photographing children.

Most pros or experienced photographers might not gain much from them, but there are a great many who will have some "Aha, now I get it!" moments. Even if you feel you know all there is about "Portrait Photography", there are always nuggets of information

Not everyone wants or needs to be a pro photographer and a lot of the books are for those people, but for those that want to make the leap, the "Going Pro" book would be a helpful guide when you don't know where or how to start.

Can you find all this info on the web for free? Probably, but it will take time to search and an understanding of what you need to search for. Definitely a time saver. The books put everything in one spot with easy to understand explanations and good examples. Plus the fact you can download them onto your computer or tablet (very handy).

I hate reading stuff on computer screens. Reading a multiple page "book" on a computer screen makes me break out in hives. If I had an ereader, it might be different; but I don't have one, so I eschew ebooks. Give me printed any day.
