I am concerned people may assume the photo in this example is me. What are your thoughts on providing an image on business cards? BTW, this is just a rough version made in publisher while bored at work. Any other design comments are welcome.

Nice shot on the card.
I don't really have any preference of pic or no pic on the business card. I would just want to know your website url so I could view your work before considering hiring you.

it is on there but in the lower right corner. Should I make it more dominant on the card? I unfortunately do not have a personal url other than this.

) I have to agree. Then again, our views come from fellow photogs and the average joe might not read into it the same way. I will say that the image included doesn't seem to be selling what you're selling, ie "Families.Seniors.Events".. shouldn't you have an image of one of those. The point, as I see it, of having an image is selling yourself to the potential customer, and though a nice image, it's not saying anything about those three things (I guess it could be a "senior" shot). Personally, I like short and simple. My newest cards simply have "Al Borrelli" centered on one line and "Photographer" on another below my name and smaller text (but just barely) on the front and the back as my URL, email and phone number. One is black with white letters, the other is white with black letters. I got them throgh moo.com whom I highly recommend by the way. I also have them as mini cards which I am able to give out much more freely. EDIT: here's what I mean by my cards:

Great help guys! I do not have my own url but perhaps I should just stop being a cheapskate and get one
I am going to switch to a more stream line card with no image. thank you!btw, the gmail address was a dummy one i used to 'create' my trial run. I should have been more clear.

ok, how about this (dummy web address btw) How about the wording? I see to remain consistant i need to add another period.

Actually I would leave just two periods myself. Instead of having it like it is though:
Families. Seniors. Events I would do this with NO spaces: Families.Seniors.Events My only other comment is about the font. Looking at your site, and the description of Families. Seniors. Events, it just seems a little hard edged/rough/urban to me. Just personal opinion though. You should definitely go with what you want to convey with your business in the end. Russ |

I like the simpler card, I want the entire text to be more centered top to bottom though. There is more space underneath the last line to bottom of the card than from the top of the card to the first line and that bothers me for some reason.
