Photography and Publication Conventions.... Where and When?

I have interest in networking and the best places I know to network with very successful people in the industry I'm in is at conventions. Is there any website I can search for conventions more specifically in photography and/or in publications?

Google might be your best bet. I used it to find PMA Las Vegas, Nevada - Fair PMA 2011 from 08.09 - 11.09.2011

yea, thing is google just gives the worst results first, and I prefer referrals based on people's actual experiences instead of advertisement's "experiences."

Do you live near a university with a photo program? My professors in school always knew when the conventions were, and we got credit for attending them.

Short of that, I'd check the magazines/trade journals.

popular photography--popphoto.com (I think).
I read their email newsletter, but I don't get a paper subscription and I don't visit their website. I think they had an edition for photography students that was pretty good and contained the info you're looking for, but I can't remember the name. I'd go to the local Barnes and Noble and scour the photo mags, then go home to the internet, were I you.
