Just shout out how your site is designed either paid a professional, self built, or/and software/service like zenfolio or smugmug.

I coded my main page from scratch, and I used wordpress for my blog with a custom modified theme. I link also to my gallery on zenfolio but it is only used for showing and selling the clients shoots.

It kinda helped having a CS major and experience.

Lucky for me, I've been a web designer for the past 10 years. So, I spent a lot of time on my site. I think it turned out well. Personally, I preach stand alone websites and not free versions from 3rd parties. You need to carve out a brand and you can't do that with something free or cheap from a 3rd party provider. My 2 cents.

Whole thing is hand-made from scratch (though I do thank Dreamweaver for having a rollover-image function built in).

I created my main site (funcrunchphoto.com) using the Drupal CMS, mainly because I worked as a web developer for ten years and managing Drupal was my last "day job" before I became a full-time photog. I wouldn't wish Drupal on anyone who didn't have a technical background or the money to pay someone else to manage it; it can get pretty unwieldy. I use Zenfolio to host my galleries for client ordering.

my website is www.colbyjack.com however right now its parked because I am building a new one, so there isn't much to see if you go there. I use Dreamweaver CS5 and Photoshop CS5 mainly for my webdesign.

Mine is a freebie until I go pro - Blogger (in my signature). A very, very generous friend is designing a proper site/blog as we speak.

Without him I would have gone down the Portfoliositez line I think.

ps thank you for the 'like', it is much, much appreciated
