Default Stuck on pricing this session...

I've done fairly well with developing my price list for my typical sessions (weddings, families, babies, etc) but as I mentioned in a post a few days ago, I had a business approach me about doing some shots of her staff. She had seen some work I had done for a local salon opening and said she is set on my doing her photos even though we haven't discussed a price.
She said she is due for a billboard soon so she really just wanted a group shot of her 5 staff members and I said I would go ahead and do some quick headshots as well (thinking I may be able to get some print sales from her there) I don't do solely prints - I give the option of ordering sizes 8x10 and larger from my Zenfolio site or ordering smaller prints on their own from a lower quality lab with the CD I give them.
So how the heck to I price a session for a billboard?? I've read about limited usage and that but I guess I'm nervous about charging so much for about 30 minutes of work.

I can't give yo specific prices, but just remember the following:

They came to you, meaning they love your work. This alone says that they are more forgiving about the price. Don't undervalue your work.

Cheers, good luck!

Remember, if the photos are going onto a billboard, then those things cost a fortune, perhaps you can even find out how much they do cost in your area. This should ease your mind somewhat as you can get an idea of their whole project, they may be hiring a graphic designer too and if this company are shelling out all that money for a billboard and graphic designer then what you are worrying about being too much may be in line with the general cost of the whole project. You may even find you can charge a bit more, after all this is commercial use, it's normal to charge more, especially when you consider how much extra business this will rake in for them.

And yeah, when writing the licence for the photographs you can specify what they are licenced for (the billboard, and maybe a few other things depending on their requirements), and how long for (once the licence expires they can either pay to renew it, or more likely they will be wanting new photos anyway).

Best of luck
