Question Errors and Omissions Insurance

I am wondering how many photographers carry E & O insurance. If they do at what levels.
any up to 200K?? If so where are the best sites to shop for this type of insurance for photographers.

If I were doing more freelancing, I'd just buy a full-on liability policy, and make sure it included E&O coverage. I know you can get discounts through professional orgs like NPPA and ASMP.

Default e & o insurance

E&O Insurance will cover you for any errors so is worth getting, the video on InsuranceBee gives a useful overview of why it's needed: Professional Liability 5 Reasons | Errors and Omissions Insurance

Yes, it's professional indemnity so covers for any negligence e.g. if the client feels that you have failed to do something, or you make a genuine mistake.

You can get on-line quotes at InsuranceBee: https://www.insurancebee.com/ecomms/step1.aspx

as far as I'm aware, the only thing a professional photographer would need to provide indemnity for is failing to cover legal issues (such as getting the appropriate releases). We don't provide professional advice/services that the client is risking their business/livelihood in acting upon like say, a lawyer or architect would.
