Its someones wedding, you were just there to learn if he wants to use some of your images I cant see the problem you were aware you were not getting paid. You used his equipment and were there helping him I would say he has every right to use them as do you.

All the best

ps lighten up and keep learning

I think before you go on another one of these sessions you need to talk about what the expectations are.
I'd have to agree. He probably wanted to see your photos at first, to see if he could tell you where you need to improve. After seeing that your work is maybe somewhat good, then he decided you don't need critique and asked for files to use instead. Take it as a compliment that he wants to use your photos. Something about them must appeal to him enough to want them. Usually whenever you work with an established photographer, as a second shooter, it's understood that any photos you take might be used, under their name. Yeah, it kinda makes you feel that feeling in the pit of your stomach, that scream that you don't want to give up credit for them. That if they love a shot you took, you want the grandeur of the credit. But it kind of goes with the territory. If I was going to be a second shooter, or an assistant who's shots would be used, I'd want payment.

Chalk this one up as a lesson learned. If you stay with him, possibly talk to him about being paid if your images are going to be used.

Weird. Just makes sure he gives you a percentage of money made off your RAW files. Get it into a contract and both of you sign.
