Default A Quick Guide on Where To Sell Photographs Online

This guide is meant to be a list of places where you can sell your photographs online. If you know of anywhere that will do all of the work for you after the photograph is uploaded, please let me know and it will be added to the list.

This is not meant as an endorsement for a certain website or even to say that somewhere is worth using. It is also not a list of stock photo agencies. Those lists exist everywhere.

With that in mind, let's move onto the list.

Again, if you know of anywhere that should be on the list please let me know somehow and it will be added.

I've posted a few photos on PhotoShelter.com. They give photographers 70% of the sale, but have some strict guidelines about the work they will accept. Sadly, I have yet to sell anything.

i've also tried shareapic.net - they have an "earn per view" kind of deal, and you get more if somebody wants to purchase your picture, of course. haven't logged into my account for almost over a year already because last i checked, i had 1921 views and have earned USD 0.42 (that's 42 cents... wek) for all of it; and they pay out only every USD 20 you earn.

I'm sure a direct link would be more helpful than having to click through your blog to find the site.

Default How about Smugmug?

I know that if you set up a pro account with Smugmug they'll let you set your own prices and earn 85% of the mark-up over the base price.

I'm only getting started in the world of photography, but for all of you pros out there this might be a site worth checking out.
