Quote Help for a Web Banner University

The University of Texas contacted me to use one image on a website banner for their College of liberal arts.

Things I know:

I believe this will be a 2 year licensing.
I know is a frequently visited site but don't know the traffic.
they want to know the cost and attribution considerations.

I was thinking $850 for 2 year licensing.

Please help me quote this.

What do they mean by "attribution considerations"? Is that some sort of weird way of saying "credit"?

I believe that is what they mean with that. I will license with credit to the image.
I will email them to ask about the traffic on the page to get a better idea.
You think I'm way off with $850?

Depends on traffic numbers. If they're pulling hits left and right, then you'll wanna ask for more.

According to them just a few hundred hits per month. Banner will be 300 pix tall.

Try for $1k. They're a university: they've got a marketing budget. If they wanna negotiate, then haggle appropriately.

This would grant them exclusive use rights for that image for that banner for 2 years (730 days). Nothing more.
