Default Fair price for a Family Portrait (Outdoor Session)

Hi, I just got asked to shoot a family of 8 (2 adults and 6 kids.) I have my pricing set around $200 for a family of 5 for 1 hour. How should I price the additional members? I just didn't want to overcharge them. Curious what you all thought was fair.

Thanks.

What do other photographers in your area charge?

Personally, I wouldn't charge extra unless the whole point is individual shots. I'd shoot it, make some nice groupings and get the extra $$ from the additional prints that will be sold.

Yeah, I could use the business and publicity for sure.

Well don't sell yourself cheap! I had a family that wanted a group photo taken, then tried to piggy back onto the shoot by adding individual families and individual and kids. Told them that it'll cost them $75.00 more per group. Instead of making a $200.00 sitting fee for one group shot, it was almost $500.00 without the print order.

since it's one family I wouldn't charge more. A few nice pictures of them together, a couple of the kids together, and then a few of each kid....you'll probably get a larger print order with this. If you are offering the disc of images - I would consider increasing the price on that.
