How did you choose a business name? I'm trying to come up with one, but i don't want to use my real name in it (especially since i go by two names). Any help?

Rentham is the name of a street I used to live on. It's short, simple, and relatively easy to say and spell. It look me about a month to settle on that since every domain name in the universe, my own name included, is already taken.

What ever you do dont use little something. Every one is little bird, tree flower, unicorn etc and you will get a bit lost in the crowd. I never really got the trend in the first place, unless it was for a dedicated baby business.

I had a friend that used a street name and another that used their maiden name, hth.

I really don't think it matters....

hence mine: "it doesn't matter productions".

Of course, mine isn't a real business either, I just put that on internet forms whenever it says "company name", or whenever I make videos for work, and it makes a handy watermark for my blog posts, other than simply "mark's picture, don't copy it - yeah this means you!"

I dont like any of them, they dont make sense to me. Enhanced generation sounds like it should be a plastic surgery place. Sorry.

What kind of photography are you specializing in? Try making it something relevant to what kind of work you do. A cutesy name wouldn't make much sense if you do mostly weddings and a name that includes "studio" wouldn't make much sense if you're doing landscapes, ya know?

+ 1 on phantasm

From your names I would say you are a quiet, young, introverted thinker who has confidence that she can do well in photography.

If this is a name that will grow with you, is it what you want it to say in the future?

I came up with all of the obvious names and stuck them on a list. When I had finshed laughing at them, I narrowed them down. 'Illumine Photos' wasn't on the list, it very, very strangely appeared in the domain name search box when I was typing another name. Meaning 'from the light, to light up, to make brighter'. The computer IS brighter than me!

Seriously do check that the domain is free too, or that could cause you problems in getting people to your website.

I'd say that whatever you think of, put it into Google and if there are loads of results, choose something else.
(not that I always follow my own advice :P)
