Default How to present photographs....

I assume the way forward when I go pro is to buy presentation boxes, but I am not charging enough to cover this at the moment, so........

Any ideas on how I can hand over images so they look nice and - well semi pro (4x6 up to 16x20)

tia

Start charging enough so you'll to be able afford the the presentation boxes and for equipment upgrades.

Nope I am not good enough. I can't warrent charging until I know I am going to get good results every time - and I don't look an idiot trying to work out my camera etc.

I WILL go pro next year because I have come along way in 10 months - I will be ready then and I can confidently charge market rate.

I am photographing friends at the moment and charging a small amount to cover costs. Everyone is happy (except my husband who is on your side and want to see my equipment start to see a return )

They have tons of different types of envelopes and clear bags on this site that might work, although I am not sure exactly what you had in mind.

Thanks Nicole - neither do I lol

I guess something that will protect them until they get around to putting them in frames that looks nice. For example I could use an envelope with a tag threaded on with a ribbon, but I was hoping for something more creative and inspired (and cheap!)

I'm been thinking about this all day, for real, lol.
What kind of crafting stores do you have? Check the scrapbooking area, maybe look for photo storage boxes. They make some super cute ones. Depending on which stores you have, they often offer great sales and coupon offers too if you watch for them.
Another option, and this is only if you are super crafty, pick up some unfinished paper mache boxes, some Modge Podge, a couple of different colored acrylic or water based paints. You could paint the whole box, let it dry, seal it with the Modge Podge, let that dry, paint another thin layer of modge podge just on the lid and press down a your favorite print from the session, then seal more Modge Podge over the top of the print. Probably wouldn't cost you more than a couple of bucks once you got a supply of a few colors of paint and a pint of the Modge Podge. Just a thought. Probably not everybody enjoys handmaking stuff like I do though.

You are nicer than me I have been giving my friends their prints in large brown envelopes and their cds in paper cases, but I haven't charged them anything either.

Default Photo Presentation

Mostly, people collect photos especially those that are worth to remember. When it comes to photos, you have to ensure it would be in a safe storage box to ensure it's cleanliness and safety as well. Photos serves as the hard copy of your memories. It is also nice if you will have it framed. It will be more attractive.

Yes and I saw on another post that they need to be acid free to protect the prints. I am going to find a framer I can work with, but it is low on my list of priorities as a move may be on the cards for us. One option may even be to America. After all my hard work preparing to get upto speed and I won't have a blinkin' Visa - arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

Thank you all for taking the time.
