I have a friend who wants a photo booth for her baby's 1st BD. The quote she got was over $600 for 2 hours. I offered to set up a super simple one with a few props (additional costs) and a point and shoot camera on self-timer. I did this just for fun at my niece's wedding and it turned out well. The friend was there and knows that's what is being offered. What would be a fair 3 hr price? I really have no idea. I am assuming the $600 price quoted is for a manned booth with nice equipment and post-processing like that shown recently on the forums with the 80's or 60's theme.

It depends what you mean by a photobooth. Around here there are quite a few men with tripods and a curtain - these aren't photobooths - they're men with tripods and a curtain. I run a photobooth in the UK and charge from £595 ($973) for a 3 hour session and that's about the going rate. It's a fully automated, touchscreen, computerised marvel
Looks like this infact....I think if you have a point and shoot camera on self timer, you couldn't expect to charge much at all. Are you planning to print them out on the spot? ![]() (you'll have to excuse the shoddy picture and basic watermark, I put it up today on my personal fb page and didn't want to waste an advertising opportunity :P)

WOW! Nope just a gal with a camera. I definitely know I won't be charging much. I could theoretically use my Canon DSLR and man the booth while someone else followed my 15 month old around.
