Default Client wants to buy pics posted in our office

My wife and I took some pics that we had printed and framed to put up on the walls in her office. It was more for decoration at this time until we continue to get better and decide to start selling prints on a website like zenfolio.

Well, one of the people that came in asked if they could buy this picture. They were going to tell us what size they would like and we would order a print. Is there any guideline for setting prices? I know people have commented on others posts about not selling for too low as not to drag down the typical prices from other photographers?

I guess we are going to have to think pricing images sooner rather than later. Any advice on price determination?

Heres the picture they want to buy

Thank you for your advice!

It really depends on the size and format. A large canvas could run several hundred (or more), while an 8x10 print would be substantially less.

A good general hard fast rule is to work out all the costs involved and multiply by 2.23. Of course sometimes this comes out fairly low :P so you have to work in what you think it's worth
So that might cost you say £50 to have it printed and properly framed, so you'd charge £110 or so, as an example.
