Default What kind of estimates/etc do you use with your clients?

I'm still in school and haven't gotten started on the photography business just yet, but after a business related discussion in class, was wondering what kind of written documents are commonly used in your business.

Do you mostly write estimates and give receipts?
Do you have customers sign contracts/model release forms?
For those working out side of consumer photography do you have to do written proposals/estimates?
Do you give these to your clients or are they for records?

Any info at all would be a great help.

Thanks!

Do you mostly write estimates and give receipts? Clients receive my pricing information.
Do you have customers sign contracts/model release forms? Absolutely, every time; even friends.

Do you mostly write estimates and give receipts? Depends on the job but normally they get estimates and invoices.

Do you have customers sign contracts/model release forms? absolutely, goes with the job.

For those working out side of consumer photography do you have to do written proposals/estimates? Sometimes I have to bid for jobs other times not.

Do you give these to your clients or are they for records? Customers will always get a copy of the bids/estimates

P.S. this is all for b2b work. On the rare occassions I do other stuff then most will still still apply, but it depends on the job.
