What’s Your Preference?

I am trying to come up with a name for my photography business and I would really love to use my name in some way..(Amanda Maynard). However that name is already taken. I have also tried Amanda G (my middle name is Gail) but it's taken as well. AGM photography and Amanda Gail photography isn't taken but I'm not quite sure how good those are. Just wondering what you think about them and any advice would be appreciated

only use your own name if it's awesome..
I chose a business name rather than my own name because my name isn't memorable or cool enough.

if you have a cool name like this kid... you probably don't need an "MC name".
*caution explicit Lyrics*

I need an MC name.. and I think "Maynard" is another one that calls for a catchy business name.

"Amanda Gail" isn't too bad though.

hmm great point. Amanda is a very common (kind of boring ) name..or at least I think so. Maybe I could combine it with something else? something different? not quite sure what that would be yet..but I will think about it.

At first I tried Amabella because the name has a special meaning to me and it means fair beautiful one. However, when I looked it up on google it was a porn stars name lol Definately do not want my clients finding that when they search for my website.

Gail Force Photos!!! lols, jk. I don't know. I have 3 names :P a company name, my name photography as a sub brand and another sub brand (see the I'll give you £50 thread :P)

I have thought about when people use their name for a business - what happens if later down the track you want to sell the business?
Your name goes with it - something to consider.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. Brought up some great points to think about and I will probably go with a business name instead of my name. Once I have a few ideas I will probably see what everyone thinks about them.

Since the name bella has a special meaning to me and since I am planning on using a business name instead of a personal name how do you like the name Belladora photography? The meaning of Belladora is beautiful hour.
I am pretty sure the name is not taken by someone else who has a photography business. If so let me know. Just wanted to get your opinions on the name . Thanks alot for the wonderful advice.

I do like the name Belladora though
