Default White Balance

I was wondering what everyone is using for custom white balance. I currently use a coffee filter . I am looking at purchasing a tool designed for exactly this purpose and saving the filters for my morning beverage. I have looked at Grey Cards, Lally Caps, Expo Disk, etc. Any suggestions?

i use this

cheap, simple, and folds up small

the white back also makes a handy little reflector

Most of the time, I find it unnecessary, but I use these: WhiBal White Balance Gray Card Video Tutorial by Michael Tapes

I use this PhotoVision: Digital Calibration Targets Not only do they help with white balance, but in a fairly stable lighting situation you can use them to set the perfect exposure.

I use Sekonic C-500R color meter, WhiBal, ExpoDisc, Colorchecker Passport and Lastolite EZyBalance.

Camera custom WB: color meter, ExpoDisc, Colorchecker Passport, EZyBalance
Post Processing: WhiBal, ColorChecker Passport

Recommendation: DIY, ExpoDisc, Whibal or Datacolor SpyderCube.

I generally shoot in raw and just leave the camera in auto. If it doesn't get it right, which it normally does, I will fix it in Lightroom. I would skip the Expodisc they are very expensive. Based on recommendations here, I recently pickup up one of these: Amazon.com: Mennon White balance lens cap 77mm: Camera & Photo Mennon White balance lens cap 77mm

It was 25 cent, plus something like $4.99 for shippng. Works quite well.

Live view. Turn it on, adjust white balance temperature until it looks about right, and shoot away in RAW. Works amazingly well, and it's free. Fix it in lightroom if it needs tweaking. Shooting weddings, I rarely have time to mess around with little gizmos, and I've got enough crap in my bag to carry around.

I carry a small gray card in my camera bag and use that to set white balance most of the time. I always shoot RAW so I can easily make adjustments in Lightroom if I don't quite get it right.

Same here, though mine isn't a Robin Myers. It's pretty much the same, though. Love that thing!
